Catalog: Plans, Bundles & Products
How to build and manage the Plans, Products/Add-Ons, and Bundles you sell.
What this does for you
Your Catalogue is where you build and manage everything you sell: Plans (your pricing packages — a monthly subscription tier, a usage-based pricing model, and so on) and Products & Add-Ons (extra items customers can attach to a plan or buy on their own). Group related plans into Bundles so they display together — for example, all the tiers of a single product line shown side by side.
Whatever you set up here is what flows through to your proposals, self-serve checkout page, and subscriptions — you configure pricing once and reuse it everywhere you sell. Billing Units (the measurement units your usage-based pricing is billed against, like "seat" or "API call") are a related catalog of their own.
Who can use it
Catalogue management is an internal, permissioned feature for your team, not something customers see directly:
- Plans: plan.view, plan.create, plan.edit, plan.archive.
- Products & Add-Ons: product.view, product.create, product.edit, product.archive.
- Bundles: bundle.view to see them, bundle.create to add one, bundle.edit to rename, reorder, or delete one.
If you don't have the right permission, the relevant buttons are disabled with an explanation, or the page shows a "You don't have access to this page" message.
Where to find it
- Plans —
/configure/plans - Products & Add Ons —
/configure/products - Bundles — no dedicated page; managed from the Plans list's Export dropdown (see below)
How to use it
Creating and configuring a Plan
- From the left navigation, open Catalogue → Plans and click + New plan.
- This takes you straight to the plan editor with a blank form — there's no separate name/description step first, and it's not a numbered wizard; it's a single scrolling page with a pill nav across the top (Plan details, Plan Settings, Pricing Configuration, Link Features, Link Products, Usage & Wallet) that jumps between sections as you fill them in. A live Plan preview panel on the right shows the plan card and a features/add-ons/usage summary, updating as you go.
- Plan details — plan name, description, bundle assignment, status (defaults to Active — switch to Draft if you're not ready to sell it yet), market, and currency.
- Plan Settings — checkboxes for "Is this a free plan?", "Show in self serve checkout?", "Enable trial" (with a trial length in days), and "Show in proposals?".
- Pricing Configuration — Fee Type (Fixed or Usage based), Terms (Pay in advance or Postpaid), Collection (One-time or Recurring), a billing/pricing cycle, and a pricing model (Flat Fee, Per Unit, Volume, Tiered, or Percent) with its price or tier structure.
- Link Features — attach system features included with this plan, via a "System features" picker.
- Link Products — attach add-on products that automatically come with this plan in proposals and subscriptions.
- Usage & Wallet — for usage-based, recurring plans only: pick a Usage Compilation, set free wallet credit amounts, optional upper/lower usage limits, whether free credits reset every cycle, and whether the wallet itself resets.
- Click Create. One click both creates the plan record and saves everything you've filled in. Editing an existing plan uses the same form and screen; the button there reads Save Changes.
Managing Bundles
- From the Plans page, open the Export button's dropdown — a "Bundle Management" section offers Manage Bundles.
- In the Manage bundles panel: click + Add new bundle to add one, use the pencil icon to rename one inline, drag to reorder, or use the trash icon to delete one you no longer need. The built-in "unbundled" bundle can't be renamed or deleted.
- Save — changes apply immediately, and the List view (a toggle next to the plan table, alongside "Table") reflects the new grouping and order. Drag-to-reorder within List view only works while you're on the unfiltered "All plans" tab.
Archiving or reactivating a Plan
Use the row action on the Plans list to archive (or, for an archived plan, activate) it, and confirm in the dialog that appears. Archived plans stop being offered as new options but existing subscriptions on that plan are unaffected by the archive action itself.
Creating and configuring a Product / Add-On
- From the left navigation, open Catalogue → Products & Add Ons and click + New product.
- Like Plans, this opens the full editor directly with a blank form and a live Product preview panel — no separate name/description step first.
- Work through the sections: Product details, Product Settings (including "Is this an addon?" — "Link it to a plan & sell it as an add on" — check this to make the product linkable from a Plan's Link Products tab), Pricing Configuration, Features (the same "System features" picker as a Plan's Link Features tab, just labeled differently here), Usage & Wallet — the same building blocks as a Plan, minus bundle grouping and a Link Products section (a Product doesn't link other products; it flags itself as linkable instead).
- Click Create. Products with "Is this an addon?" checked become available to attach on the Link Products tab of any Plan. Editing an existing product uses the same screen, with the button reading Save Changes.
Tips / things to know
- Status defaults to Active on creation, for both Plans and Products. If you want to stage one before it's sellable, switch its Status to Draft in the details section before saving, then flip it to Active when you're ready.
- Visibility checkboxes matter. A plan won't show up on your self-serve checkout page unless "Show in self serve checkout?" is checked, and it won't appear as a proposal option unless "Show in proposals?" is checked — even if it's otherwise fully configured and active.
- Volume vs. Tiered pricing are not the same. Volume pricing charges the entire quantity at whichever bracket rate the total quantity falls into. Tiered (graduated) pricing splits the quantity across brackets and charges each portion at its own bracket's rate — pick deliberately, since totals can differ noticeably.
- Pricing tiers must be contiguous. Each tier must pick up exactly where the previous one left off, with no gaps or overlaps, and only your last (highest) tier can be left open-ended.
- Archiving is reversible — it toggles a plan/product between Active and Archived rather than deleting it, so you can always bring a discontinued offering back.
- There's no bulk "duplicate this plan" action from the catalog UI — each plan or product is currently built from scratch through the create flow.
- Archiving a plan does not automatically detach it from bundles or proposals it's already linked to — review those references separately if you're retiring a plan.
- Bundle management is tucked inside the Plans list's Export dropdown rather than being its own dedicated screen — if you're looking for it, that's where it lives.
