Companies & Contacts

How to manage your customer companies and the people you deal with at each one.

An Organisation is your Kribana account. A Company is one of your customers — the business entity that Plans, invoices, and subscriptions are billed against. A Contact is a person at that company you deal with — who may or may not be the person actually paying the bill.

What this does for you

Companies and Contacts give you one place to manage your customer relationships and the people behind them, without leaving Kribana to look them up elsewhere. Every invoice, proposal, subscription, and wallet in the product hangs off a Company record, and Contacts let you keep track of who to reach out to at each one.

Who can use it

  • Viewing companies requires company.view; creating requires company.create; editing requires company.edit; archiving requires company.delete.
  • Contacts follow the same pattern with contact.view / contact.create / contact.edit / contact.delete.

If your role doesn't include the relevant permission, the corresponding buttons are hidden or disabled.

Where to find it

Go to Companies and Contacts from the main navigation — each has its own list page.

How to use it

Managing your customers (Companies)

  1. From the Companies list, click + New company.
  2. Fill in the form. The exact fields depend on how your organization has configured this record type in Object Customization — there's no fixed, guaranteed field list.
  3. Save to create the record.
  4. Click into a company to open its detail page — a single scrolling page with a pill nav across Details, Contacts, Billing (invoices and payments together), Proposals, Subscriptions, Upsells, Wallets, and Activity.
  5. From the Billing section's own header, you can open the Customer billing portal for that company.
  6. To remove a company, archive it (requires company.delete).

Managing people (Contacts)

  1. From the Contacts list, click + New contact to add a person directly, or use Add contact to company from a company's own Contacts tab to link an existing or new person to that company.
  2. The company-linking flow walks you through Step 1: Select company then Step 2: Select contact — or click + Add new contact to create one on the spot (Name, Phone number, Email, Designation), then Add contact.
  3. Deleting a contact depends on where you do it: Delete company contact on the list page (or Delete from a company's Contacts tab) just unlinks that person from the company; Delete contact permanently removes the contact record itself.

Tips / things to know

  • Company form fields aren't fixed — check with your admin if you expect a field that isn't showing, since it may need to be added through Object Customization first.
  • Unlinking a contact from a company doesn't delete the contact — their record (and their links to other companies) stays intact until you specifically choose to delete them permanently.
  • The Billing pill on a company's detail page combines invoices and payments in one place rather than splitting them into separate tabs.
